Jailbirds

Finished pieces for Illustration Topics. Papercut was too big to scan so looks better in real life.
In other news Anne came to show her work in class today and it inspired me SO MUCH. Thanks Anne, your too good!

Three Old Ladies

Sound sync shambles

The monstrosity that is my sound sync project...I wasnt enjoying the soundtrack...I think that becomes apparent at the part where the hammer smashes the hand...

Buskers

From an illustration project about 'swinging London'. Kind of frustrating being in America for this project when London is usually so close...

John

Drawn to the debate along with the inky hands.

Inky hands

My hands are always inky. Today we drew our hands with ink, I enjoyed it greatly.
What else? It's starting to get chilly here, although the weather is so erractic it could be summer by friday. I went on a lovely midnight bike ride with lovely friends last weekend.(I stole the photo off Millie) I'm going to see Rufus Wainwright tomorrow night which I canNOT wait for. It's going to be fantastic. Oh, and I'm also making a whale zine (the obssession did not leave me) with a couple of friends. So MCAD readers- if you want to do a whale for the zine, contact me and get drawing/painting/whatever and your in it! Hopefully will update with more soon.

Working hard....?

It looks like I am destined not to get a studio so still working in the flat...made it nice and cosy though so I do like working here. Nabbed the little chest of drawers off the free shelf. Went to a garage sale a few weeks ago which was brilliant so created a little display of items in the drawer- hairless dolls, 3 old women, old photo frames and the like. Wonderful.

Pets and their owners

I'm doing a project at the moment to do with the relationship between pets and their owners, although I have got slightly preoccupied with the pets...there is more to come...some pet/owner lookalikeys. I also desperately want to screenprint some but I will hold this off till I finish the project because I have to use acrylic!

Map making

At the moment in illustration topics we are making illustrated maps. It's pretty hard, but fun. These are just some drawings from my sketchbook for ideas.

Whales

So I became slightly whale obsessed this week, but I think I have just about got it out of my system now. I'm in the process of designing a whale wrapping paper for design club, as well as a whale lithograph...so I think I have taken whales pretty much as far as they will go!

Black and White Ball

Was the Mcad Black and White ball this weekend. Had much fun....however brief it was.

New Dresses

The thrift stores/ vintage shops here in minneapolis are brilliant and are so cheap compared to bloody Brighton...got a bit carried away buying 4 dresses in one sitting. This one is my favourite...I think it is hand made which makes me like it even more.
