I went to see the film 'Contemporary Days' yesterday which was being run in conjunction with the exhibition of Lucienne and Robin Day's work at Pallant House in Chichester. It was very inspiring and an interesting insight into their working and personal life. If you can watch do try to- here is a little clip.
Thought it might be interesting to show a bit of my process...I tend to (after researching themes) to do a quick sketch in my notebook of what I want a print to look like and then develop drawings from there...this is something I am planning to finish soon.
I am in absolute of awe of this girl's drawing capabilities. She is a bloody good friend too so I can't even seethe with jealousy from a far. Check out more of her wonderful work HERE. This piece was awarded a runner up prize by ideas tap. Quite rightly too.
I am now selling some prints online at Culture label and Saatchi store. You can see my work HERE and HERE. I am still getting to understand it so hopefully I will overcome the teething problems!
This is from something I was working on way before Christmas I think. It has now been rejected but has adapted into something new which I will show soon...
