Whitstable Bienalle

From Saturday, for a week, I will be working in the sunny sea side studio of The Print Block on  the shores of Whitstable, producing prints to a theme of 'sea shanties and sailors pastimes' to display in the window of Frank as part of the Whitstable Bienalle. If you happen to be in the area please drop in and say hello to see what we are up to! (I will try and provide a progress report on here too!) You might even get the chance to pull your own print to take away and there will be a selection of work on sale throughout the week! It's going to be good fun!

Caroline Herring

Finally got my hands on the printed copies of the album I did for American folk singer Caroline Herring - here are a few photos. She gave a great performance last night at Cecil Sharp House and has been great fun to work with - I wish her good luck on her US CD release tour!

Textile collage biscuit tins

A set of biscuit tins picked up for a steal at Tynemouth market. Lovely textile collage's for the designs and each one has a lovely simple edge.

Country Fair

I also got a pile of these 'Country Fair' magazines which are 'all about the country'. This month's product is the 'brick'....'How to count sheep' ....that sort of thing. With a brilliantly bright and graphic cover and wonderfully paired and captioned photo series inside, they are pretty great.

Ploof and Mischief

On a brief visit to my grandparents in Norfolk this week I managed to quickly pop in to the Blickling National Trust bookshop which is amazing and still easy to find some great bargains. I got a Charley Harper book for 20p last time I went!Anyway I picked up these two this time which are full of some beautiful lithographs and stories 'with that delicate gaiety which shows they come from the French' apparantly...
